well the summer if finally over now! *pouts*

moving into my uni house on saturday, so am packing up all my stuff and wondering why i have more things to take this yr than i did last yr!

looking back at my summer, it seemed to go really fast!

had a good time in latvia! the weather was mostly hot; around 45'c most days, which can get very annoying when your in the sun digging all day!

we managed to find quite alot of coins; mostly 17th/18th century with some being latvian and swedish!

we found some dice, flutes made of bone, decoratively carved bone, pottery and lots of animal bones.

some builders who were working near the church found 2 bodies, which enabled rescue archaeology to take place, which was interesting to see in action.

after 6weeks, it was nice to come home, and watch the sanctuary webisodes i had missed and had been tormented with pictures by friends!

unfortunately there was not much time to rest when i got home, as i went to scotland to see my brother, his wife and my neice!
and of course the sheep!


also got to check out one of scotlands many castles, which was really picturesque



and then as soon as i got back, it was time to go to london for the london film and comic con! with amy and liam

we even managed to find the tardis!

got to meet Andee Frizzell who plays the wraith queens on atlantis

she was so nice to meet and her talk was really funny!


ended up meeting 2 new friends (who i had met at 2 previous cons and never got there names!), cherie (

thisissiriusand angela ( shepsangel

 

also managed to premote david's film 'a dogs breakfast, and hand out over 200 posters!


and even managing to get andee to help premote aswell

and ended up sticking some on her autograph table!!


and to end off the weekend, cherie couldnt get over amy's 'kavan look'

claiming amy had apparently stolen kavan's eyes!


and rodney bear ended up having a mcdonnalds


ADB has also been released in america now, so my copy is being shipped as we speak and will hopefully arrive soon as i really want to watch it again!
new posters and tshirts are being made (cherie's and angela's) for premoting adb at the milton keynes con, for the international release!

and the new season of stargate atlantis is set to hit our screens at the end of this month!

all in all its been a busy summer!

whats everyone else been up to???

Ok, ive been back from pegasus 2 for a week now, so i thought i would finally stop sleeping and comment on it!

i arrived at the hotel, met the oh so bitchy staff that we had for the weekend, and found the way to mine and velven's room, which smelt like someone old had died in there! and we didnt even have a window which opened! suffice to say i really wasnt happy with the accomodations, but we were there to see David, so we would have to cope!

velven's plane landed at 4.15 pm and we had to be in central london for the showing at 6.30pm (the hotel and convention being in heathrow), so we thought 2 hours would be plenty of time to get to the showing. Well, thats when everything started to go wrong!

we got a taxi from the hotel and they said it would take about an hour. we got onto the motorway when we found out we really should have taken the train; one lane was already closed and 3 cars had broken down. suffice to say i really thought we were going to miss it. I also think our taxi driver is going to be needing therapy after that drive, coz we were screaming at cars to get out of the way, traffic lights to change and yelling at people who were crossing the roads! 

At 6.25pm we were finally in london centre but still a mile off the odeon cinema, and stuck at another set of traffic lights. So we decided to get out and run. However we had literally no idea where the cinema was, apart from which road it was down. So after running across roads (im so suprised we didnt get run over!), yelling to people to let us through and asking people outside of clubs where the odeon was, we finally made it at 6.33pm! I really couldnt believe it!

velven was trying to figure out where we were suposed to be when i saw David standing outside one of the screens. He looked so happy and excited! we had a quick chat with him telling him we had just run a mile and i managed to tell him i hated him! but then didnt finish the rest of my sentence coz we were told it had started and we had best go find some seats. it was only once we had sat down i realised i had just told david hewlett i hated him! oh well! (i did appologise at the convention and we had a laugh about it!).

The film was totally awesome, and i recommend eveyone to go and see it! even if you just go to see david naked and paul mcgillion dressed as a woman! its hilarious!

afterwards there was a little Q+A session and david was pleased with the reaction the film got. i managed to get some pictures but they didnt come out that well coz i was a few rows back and it was dark. ive asked muffin if i can nick hers coz theyve come out great!
we all got chucked out fairly quickly after that coz someone else needed the screen, so we managed to get a quick 'that was great' to david and then left to go find food in pizza hut. and met some new friends in the toilets!


ive got to get ready for a lecture, so i'll see if i can clean up some of the photos and put them up later, and also do a con report for those that didnt get to go. later!

me and velven got tickets to go see the screening in london of david's new film 'a dogs breakfast', after about 45minutes of aganonisingly trying not to murder the wolfevents website after the database crashed coz there were so many ppl tryin to buy tickets.

it was so intense i was shaking after velven said she had got them!

must calm down now!!!
