The empire strikes back

In recent weeks, we've taken huge steps towards blocking spam accounts on LiveJournal. In fact, we've suspended as many as 30,000 accounts in a single day! We've implemented several pre-emptive measures to prevent the creation of spam accounts, and we've honed our detection of suspicious content. Spam bots are a crafty lot, so we'll continue to refine our tactics and keep up the good fight to keep you safe from spam attacks on LiveJournal.

RSS feeds again

If you're addicted to xkcd_rss, icanhaschzbrgr, or other syndicated feeds, we're pleased to report that we've resolved the update error that was mucking up your RSS feeds. While content was being pulled correctly, it wasn't being posted to the feeds themselves. Late last week, we finally nailed down what we hope was the root problem, so content should post properly. We thank you for your patience.

Hello! I'm looking for stories where Rodney enters a relationship with someone else and John gives them the "Don't hurt him" talk. I'd prefer stories where the person Rodney is dating is perceived by John as physically or mentally tougher than Rodney- i.e. a military member or someone like Ronon. The other person can be male or female and John's motives could be friendship or UST, I'm pretty open. I just really want "the talk."

Notes: This was written a while ago. The show was airing season 5, but I hadn't seen season 4 yet (dont ask, long story) so I knew that Carson comes back as a clone, but had not seen the episodes yet. Then it was edited a little after I HAD seen the episodes so that the Carson stuff makes more sense. Elizabeth is still alive and well and in command though. *shrugs* Has not been to a beta.

Snippet: As he was inching towards the door, it whooshed open, and Carson entered, carrying a tray piled high with food. “And where do you think you’re going, Rodney?” his tone was stern, but the sides of his mouth were inching up.

“Oh, I’m glad you’re so amused. Sheppard, Ronan, and Teyla are pinkifying the bedroom!” Rodney gestured wildly towards the back of the apartment.

“Sheppard and Ronan are… oh, I believe I have to see that,"

Hello everyone!
     Lately I have found myself hankering any and all stories involving 'sleepy!sex' within the McShep pairing.
     Whether it be either one of the boys, or both starting it, it doesn't matter to me. I am easy.
     I know there are some really good ones out there, but just rec me any and all favorites you have in the genre. I need some good porny smut
     and fluff to get me through the long essay-filled night ahead of me!

I am now SO BLOODY OLD. I'm 8 to 11 years older than all the youngsters that live on the same dorm floor as me. Bleh. 

On my birthday, today, I:

A) Skipped class.  Whee.

B) Slept in.  Blessed arms of Morpheus, I missed you so.

C) Went and tutored my usual Wednsday tutoring hour. Meh.

D) Got flowers and balloons and a bag full of yummy delivered to me from my Mum.  Yayness.  

E) Am now eating NON-DIABETIC chocolate.  And I will go for a walk in a bit so I don't go into a coma in my sleep from it.  BUT, DANG, REAL CHOCOLATE IS WORTH IT!!

thus endeth my (un)exciting 30th Birthday.
